Course Overview:

The Accelerating Team Dynamics course is designed to empower teams to enhance their cohesion, communication, and collaboration. By fostering a culture of psychological safety and promoting open communication, this course enables team members to share personal information, align expectations with one another, and establish a clear understanding of their roles within the team and the leader's expectations.

This is an interactive session with practical exercises and participation.

Course Duration:

  • Full day or half day available

Key outputs:

Participants in the Accelerating Team Dynamics Workshop will:

  • Develop a deeper sense of trust and psychological safety within the team. Share personal information and experiences to foster stronger connections. Gain a clear understanding of individual and team expectations.
  • Align expectations with the team leader.

  • Unpack current ways of working: what’s working vs what not with an action plan going forward.

Course:

1.  Introduction: Rules of Engagement

  • Setting the tone for the workshop with clear guidelines on how the team will engage and collaborate throughout the session.

2.  Building Psychological Safety & Sharing Session:

  • Personal Story Sharing: Each team members will prepare a personal presentation, including their life journey, fostering vulnerability and deeper understanding.
  • This will be done in an environment where team members feel safe, this leads to strengthened connections and heightened psychological safety.

3.  Expectations of One Another:

  • Aligning team expectations with leaders’ expectations and vice versa.
  • Discussing, clarifying, and sharing expectations to establish a deeper level of awareness and understanding within the team dynamic.

4.  Ways of Working:

  • Evaluating team dynamics by discussing what is working well and identifying areas for improvement.
  • The team commits to taking ownership and collaboratively enhancing their actions for better performance.
  • Collaborative review of individual and team-based SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) action plans for the next three months.
  • Establishing team accountability mechanisms to ensure successful implementation of action plans.
